As a new feature of its shop floors, TK Maxx had decided to incorporate glass panelling to the internal architecture of their stores, and we were asked to carry out the work in the new Northumberland Street branch.
Firstly we carried out an extensive survey, taking measurements for the panelling over three floors and a feature wall next to the escalator. AGC Lacobel Safe+ red luminous glass was then processed in the various shapes and sizes required.
We worked over three nights to fix the glass to the walls of the lift shaft and escalator areas, with the panelling work including drilling and shaping to accommodate lift indicator switches. Overall, the glass installation project used 95 square metres of Lacobel Safe+.
Our architectural glass work helped create a light, spacious and contemporary feel to the store, and was praised by the store’s management and customers alike.
